  My concern is that the state is forcing a business to perform activities the owners do not want to participate in. How far does this extend?

  What if I have an event business and I choose not to participate in 'Sweet 16' 'Quinceañera' or 'debutante' parties because I believe them to be culturally disgusting displays? Am I forced as a business to produce these?

  If I am an athiest and don't want to participate in religious themed events? Don't believe in marriage at all and don't want to participate in producing marriage related events? Don't believe in Halloween and don't want to participate in producing Halloween events? The list could be endless.

  This is an opportunity for the free market to create gay friendly marriage chapels if there is such a demand.

  I suppose one option is for the business owners to shut down or move to another city or state where such meddling in private enterprise isn't an issue.

  a baptized girl from my former cong.

  was expelled out because she participated in more than one porn videos with classmates in the school and theses videos became public.

  she is 14 years old and grew up as witnesses.but anybody knows she had many boyfriends and she-, but that thing was unbelievable!

  The 14 year old is the victim of a crime - whoever was making those videos ought to go to prison for a long, long time.

  And if it was the girl making the videos? Or a same age boy? We are going to send young teenagers to PRISON 'for a long, long time' where they all but certainly will be raped/sexually victimized?

  How about we talk about the batshit insanity of parents giving internet enabled HD cams in the form of a phone to their kids at this age? 30-40% (depending on the study, the number keeps going up) of underage teens are producing naked pictures of themselves and sending them. We are going to jail a third of the kids in this country?

  Increasingly there has been a shift away from devices that have capability of a ton of local storage but rely on internet connectivity. Tablets, Chromebooks, etc. Some of these devices are replaced every two years like mobile phones. Cloud storage is one way to address backing up information; I can replace my phone whenever, but my Google account has all my contacts, email, and photos (if I choose that setting) stored.

  Local backups are great, but 1)most people don't do it or do it regularly enough to be effective; 2)a backup drive stored in the same house as the computer is subject to all the things that could happen to the PC. Theft, fire, disaster, hard drive crash. Also dumping data onto another drive and deleting the original is not a backup.

  There are basically two different cloud type services; something like Carbonite intended to serve as a continual offsite backup for all your files, and something like Photobucket, designed to store one type of file like photos.

  Also, there is an entertainment industry attempt, as well as a generational trend to shift consumption of content, particularly music, from locally stored digital files to a service (Netflix, Spotify, Pandora) that streams access to the entertainment, never allowing you to 'own' the files to begin with. The obvious downsides are continual cost and the possiblilty the specific content can be removed from the service at any time due to rights/licensing issues.

  the convention book released yesterday....say hi to group 2 of the 1914 generation!!

  a graph shows group 1 being fred franz john barr etc...with a group 2 consisting of the current young faithful slaves we "met" the "group ones.

  many comments, much speculation and alot of negative feedback on the quality, etc.

  well, what has me concerned is that i have not heard a peep from any of my connections left in kingdom-land.

  I'm upset about those credit card machines at assemblies too. I remember in the Awake,in the Watching the World segment,they criticized the churches for doing that same thing.

  I'm not phased as much about the credit card terminals. 97% of American currency only exists in digital form. Employers began refusing to issue paychecks a few years ago, only paying you on a debit card or direct deposit. People have now grown up having never written or handled a check. It was inevitable. I predict they will start accepting Paypal and Bitcoin next.

  Um, but a bunch of Bible beliefs CAN be proven false. Mankind was not created 6,xxx years ago. There was no global flood 4000 years ago. There was no Exodus.

  Beliefs do not change facts. Facts, if one is rational, should change beliefs.

  The US letter definitely mentions Roku by name.

  I wonder how much Roku has paid the WTS for the publicity? Talk about "product placement"!

  Please. Anybody can get a Roku channel. Just announcing another method of consuming the narrowcast. Roku is the most popular streaming box and is also the easiest way for non-tech, non-computer type people to consume online video as it most closely resembles TV. Right at the bottom of the screen I saw it also says 'you might be interested in...The Mormon Channel!' LOL
